Ann Seamonds, Founder

Ann Seamonds brings extensive experience in public relations and marketing communications to her clients, which have included some of the world’s best-known brands. Her award-winning career spans more than 35 years and includes management positions on both the agency and corporate sides.  Prior to founding Seamonds & Company, she was Managing Director of IQ&J Public Relations, a national agency based in Boston and one of the largest firms in the region, where she counseled clients on both sides of the Atlantic and throughout the United States. Today, her experience also includes extensive client work in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, India, Africa, Australia and Asia.

Known internationally for her expertise in the global water industry, she has managed programs and projects for leading technology developers and providers, associations, consulting firms, and non-profits.

Complimenting work in the water industry, her portfolio also encompasses the environmental arena, an important consideration as the focus on sustainability becomes an increasingly critical part of companies’ corporate and communications initiatives.

Her vast experience has also made Seamonds at home with the diverse demands of leading clients in other industries ranging from financial services to technology, construction products, consumer products and services, education and healthcare.

Her work has been recognized at the national and regional levels.  Seamonds is the recipient of the prestigious Silver Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators as well as the Bell Ringer Award from the Publicity Club of Boston. She has also received a Presidential Award from the International Desalination Association.

Earlier in her career, Seamonds was with BayBanks, Inc., where she directed public relations activities for the holding company as well as its eight affiliate banks and two subsidiary corporations.  Prior to joining BayBanks, she was Marketing Officer at First Essex Savings Bank, where she previously served as Investment Officer.

Her eclectic interests include music (having had a brief career as an opera singer); Galgo Español, Podenco, and Greyhound rescue; ethology; linguistics; Egyptology; birdwatching; equestrian sports; and Thoroughbred aftercare. Outside her work schedule, she is writing a book entitled “Dancing Across the Finish Line” that chronicles the journey with her retired racing Thoroughbred who beat the odds by becoming a national champion in dressage. Seamonds graduated magna cum laude from Emmanuel College.
